02/14/2005: "Snow"

Snow

Imagine my surprise this morning when I saw snowish looking stuff outside. No one was talking about it on the radio, so I figured it wasn't bad. Which, it wasn't. When I arrived on the Eastside, in the Bellevue area, it was quite blustery! And then it cleared up. Weird weather.



I got most of the house cleaned this weekend. My room and the kitchen. And most of the living room; there's still yarn all over the place. The bathroom is the major offender right now and will be battled this evening.



I bought curtains for my bedroom. Yes, I realize I've lived there for over two years now. I didn't mind there being no curtains. No one is ever in the backyard, so low to the ground as to peer into my humble bedroom (except maybe the cats). But, it was time. :) So I bought a pretty, blue velvet panel for the middle and on either side a sheerish white panel. Then I went nuts and put sheer blue curtains on the closet opening. Because, you never know who is in the closet copping a peep at you. :) Anyway, it makes the room darker, meaning, lets less sunlight in, which means I sleep longer. Like I needed to do that. But with the purchase of curtains came the need to move the bed around, which dragged out into rearranging stuff on the walls so that things were centered better and so on and so forth. I could've cleaned the entire place in the amount of time I spent on just my room. But it's so pretty now. :)



Went swimming yesterday. Hadn't done that in a long time. I either need to buy some goggles or learn to keep my eyes shut under water. When I tried that, though, I swam into the wall, so I think the goggles are in order.



I'm on my third Nalgene of water.
